UNLESS YOU HELP, SB 3 MAY GROUND YOUR DRONE PROGRAMS!
Section 4 of SB 3 which is now in front of the Connecticut Senate will prohibit Connecticut agencies from buying and flying purchasing Chinese-made drones (including DJI and Autel).
CT MUTS members have worked very hard on our behalf but we need YOUR help!
Six CT MUTS members testified in opposition before the Senate General Law Committee on February 29, 2024 - please take the time to listen to what they had to say so you understand our points:
Mark Gentile, Deputy Chief, Rocky Hill Fire department: 00.03
Donald Janelle, Deputy Chief, Manchester Emergency Management and Co-Chair CT Municipal UAV Task Force: 14:50
Michael Shabenas, Chief, Dayville (Killingly) Fire District: 21:45
Christopher Vanghele, Chief, Plainville Police Department: 28:00
Peter Swanson, UAS Coordinator, East Hartford Fire: 32:21
Jennifer Yoxall, Co-Chair CT Municipal UAV Task Force: 40:22
Eight CT MUTS members (and Police Chiefs Association) submitted written testimony in opposition - feel free to use ideas in the written testimony when speaking with legislators.
